Pet Portrait Collective was born from the loss of our beautiful dog, Duke, who we lost suddenly at just three years old.

Pet Portrait Collective was born from the loss of our beautiful dog, Duke, who we lost suddenly at just three years old.

Losing him affected us deeply and changed the way I looked at pet portraiture. These aren’t simply tattoos of our pets. They’re a way of celebrating the animals that become part of our families, the memories we make with them, and the mark they leave on our lives.

I created the Collective to help others celebrate that bond — whether their pet is still by their side or being remembered after they’re gone.

Ele came to me wanting a portrait of Hooch, her 12-year-old Labrador, to celebrate the life they had shared together. Just a few weeks after the tattoo was finished, Hooch sadly passed away. What began as a celebration of him became a permanent reminder of a best friend and 12 years together.

It’s about capturing the expression, character and little details that make them unmistakably yours.
